Our Team

Andrew L. Hult

Andrew (Drew) Hult, CPA, is Managing Member of the firm. He defines the practice’s mission, as “helping people”. To this end, he seeks staff who have “walked in his clients” shoes, i.e., who mirror his own combination of public and private experience so that they can better understand clients’ concerns.

A former National President of the National Conference of CPA Practitioners, Drew has been recognized by Accounting Today as “one of the 100 most influential accountants in the United States”. He currently serves the Conference as a member of the Ethics and of the Peer Review committees. He is a member of the AICPA and of the NYSSCPA. He continues to meet, locally as well as in Washington, with IRS representatives.

Prior to founding his own practice Drew was a junior partner and manager of quality control for Owen Peterson & Co. CPAs. Before entering public practice, he received his bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University in Connecticut, and his MBA in Finance from Columbia University. Drew is also a decorated naval officer. Following his naval service, he spent twenty years in private industry, notably with Silor Optical, Inc, where he served as Director of Finance during a period of exceptional growth. He then brought this business experience into public practice. See our case studies for examples of what can happen when the two are combined. View a complete list of Andrew L.
